Content Overview

The prevention of falls and the proper procedures involved in a post fall rescue plan are covered. Course participants will also become familiar with modern inspection and service procedures pertaining to fall protection. Johnston trainers are CSA International fall protection specialists and this course references all CSA Standards pertaining to fall protection including:

• CAN/CSA-Z259.1-95 (R1999): Safety Belts and Lanyards
• CAN/CSA-Z259.2.1-98: Fall Arresters, Vertical Lifelines and Rails
• CAN/CSA-Z259.2.2-98: Self-Retracting Devices for Fall-Arrest Systems

• CAN/CSA-Z259.10-M90 (R1998): Full Body Harnesses
• CAN/CSA-Z259.11-M92 (R1998): Shock Absorbers for Fall-Arrest Systems
