Wire guidance has become the preferred solution to guiding lift trucks at optimum speeds through narrow and very narrow aisles. Not only is wire guidance less costly than rail guided systems, it reduces maintenance and increases storage space. This is accomplished by eliminating the bottom load beams and aisle-entry devices that reduce storage space on ground levels with rail guided systems.
